We continue vaccinating patients in cohorts 1-9. If you are eligible for this cohort we will contact you to book an appointment for your vaccine.
The vaccinations will take place at Long Eaton Health Centre, Midland Street, Long Eaton, Nottingham, NG10 1RY and Littlewick Medical Centre, Nottingham Road, Ilkeston, DE7 5PR. Please remember to wear a face mask to your appointment, and please arrive on time, not early, so we can keep you safe and avoid queues or crowds.
If you received a letter from government or NHS England about the vaccination, you will be able to book appointment via central system and there is no need to contact us. Please follow instructions on the letter sent to you.
The coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine is safe and effective. It gives you the best protection against coronavirus.
Who can get the COVID-19 vaccine
The NHS is currently offering the COVID-19 vaccine to people most at risk from coronavirus. At this time, the vaccine is being offered in some hospitals to:
- some people aged 80 and over who already have a hospital appointment in the next few weeks
- people who work in care homes
- health care workers at high risk
Please see the prioritisation list HERE.
The vaccine will be offered more widely, and at other locations, as soon as possible. When it is the right time people will receive an invitation to come forward either from your GP surgery or the national NHS.
Please do not contact the NHS to get an appointment until you get this invitation.
To find out more about the vaccine, visit the Covid Vaccine public information page of the Joined Up Care Derbyshire website at:
Covid Vaccination Patient Information leaflets:
Please do not contact the surgery requesting proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Instead, please see https://www.gov.uk/guidance/demonstrating-your-covid-19-vaccination-status-when-travelling-abroad for further information.
You can either download the NHS app or you can call the NHS helpline on 119 (from 17 May) and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine, the letter may to take up to 5 days to reach you.
We thank you for your support during these busy times.

Doctors, ANP and Clinical Pharmacist appointments
We will continue to operate a triage based system for all GP, Advance Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Pharmacist appointments, meaning that all patient queries will be dealt with over the phone and clinician will make a decision whether to bring patient for a face to face appointment. Please note that this is to ensure your safety as a patient as well as safety of our staff.
We understand that calling surgery can be difficult at times and we are receiving high volumes of calls every day and therefore to we encourage all of our patients to use Online Triage
Once your query is submitted it will be assessed and a most appropriate clinician will contact you same day if a form is submitted by 10.00am Mon-Fri; forms submitted after that time will be assessed within 24hrs.
Please click here if you wish to submit your medical query using online form.
Chronic disease and medication reviews

This mean that if capacity is reached you may be asked to wait outside, until it is safe for us to let you in. Please note that we are unable to allow relatives to attend, unless there is a valid medical reason for them to be accompanying you.
Please wear face coverings at all times whilst on our premises.
We implemented one way system across all of our surgeries with clear signs directing you to clinical rooms and exits and we ask that you follow these rules.
Hand sanitizers are available throughout and we ask that you use it upon entry to the building and on your way out.
